The Myburg Clone (imported Landrace)
My colleague Cacti Rob obtained a tiny cutting of this special plant as a gift from Lesley Myburg, while at a retreat at "Casa de La Gringa". Casa de la Gringa is a well known healing center on the Hills around Cusco. After years of propagation there is enough material now to do some serious investigation into the chemical constituents of this plant.
S. Dali Clone (imported Landrace)
This cutting was brought back from the Lima area by my colleague "Cacti Rob", and the family that grows it calls it the Dali. This specimen is named after the famed Spanish Surrealist Salvador Dali, see wiki. The mother stand was supposedly discovered near the Salvador Dali desert, in Peru.
Moyabamba Clone (imported Landrace)
This special plant cutting was brought back over a decade ago by my colleague from a visit to the so-called city of orchids, Moyobamba. Aside from its chemical constituents, what is interesting about this plant is it comes from a very wet area in eastern Peru. It grows very fat/fast and can tolerate wet feet and also thrives in rocky soils supplemented with nutrients. One of my favorite plants all around.
Lambayeque (imported Landrace Seedlings)
These seeds were wild collected in the Lambeyeque area by my colleague "Cacti Rob". I have several selections all of which have a distinct flattened tips, and display deep narrow ribs when thirsty.
